Biografía

Fortunato San Martín Rodríguez, pintor. Nació en Parral, Chile, en 1891. Falleció en Santiago en 1963.

De formación autodidacta, cultivó la afición por la pintura desde niño. Aunque vivió en Santiago desde 1912 y participó en los salones oficiales de la década del treinta, su dedicación más comprometida con el arte y que le hizo popular, fue a edad avanzada, tres años antes de su muerte. Su obra se ha asociado al movimiento de la pintura naif.
